Hill Coefficient
#Biochemistry
$\displaystyle Y=\frac{[L]^{n}}{K_{d}+[L]^{n}}$
- $\displaystyle n$ is the Hill Coefficient
- $\displaystyle n=1\rightarrow$ non-cooperative
- $\displaystyle 0<n<1$ negatively cooperative
- $\displaystyle n>1\rightarrow$ positively cooperative
- Describes protein cooperativity
$\displaystyle v=\frac{v_{\text{max}}[S]^{n}}{K_{m}^{n}+[S]^{n}}$
- $\displaystyle v_{\text{max}}$ is the max reaction velocity
- $\displaystyle K_{m}$ is the Michaelis constant
- $\displaystyle [S]$ is the substrate concentration
