Linear System

#Engineering

$\displaystyle S(ax_{1}+bx_{2})=aS(x_{1})+bS(x_{2})$

In other words, a system is linear if two conditions are met:

$\displaystyle S(ax)=aS(x)$

  • The system is homogeneous

$\displaystyle S(x_{1}+x_{2})=S(x_{1})+S(x_{2})$

  • The system is allows superposition
