- $\displaystyle \Psi(\vec{r},t)$ is the wave function. Any function that satisfies the above 2nd Order DEQ behaves like a wave
- Eigenfunctions are sin, cos, or complex exponentials
- $\displaystyle c$ is the speed of the wave
- $\displaystyle \Delta$ is the Laplacian
